The characteristics of ALLIUM cristophii.

No garden is complete without the giant, sparkling star globes of Allium cristophii. Between May and June, these fabulous flowers shine through the colours of spring and summer, bridging the seasons with confidence and style. Once the brilliant purple colour begins to fade, all that remains are beautiful golden seed heads that continue the season of interest into summer.  The flowers are very impressive, reaching up to 25 cm in diameter and are located at the top of tall, sturdy stems. Its name 'Star of Persia' is therefore well deserved.

How to use ALLIUM christophii.

Allium christophii is ideal in borders mixed with other perennials or in small groups among ornamental grasses. It can also be integrated into pots composed of perennials and annuals.
