Dwarf variety of the genus Ilex, Ilex crenata Stockes positions itself as a variant of Buxus, with its qualities but without its disadvantages. Resistant and very rustic, this variety breaks free from the main problems faced by Buxus. It naturally branches out, tolerates well a regular trimming and can be used in low-height trimmed hedges or for isolated pot planting.
