DASYLIRION longissimum has a great Mexican totem's look (this is its other name). The thin leaves' tuft is evergreen and shapes an abundant and tufted form. Over time and with maturity, the plant raises upon a large trunk and flowers with a big yellow inflorescence. We appreciate its exoticism, its rusticity, its strenght and its dry-resilience. 

This delosperma is drought-resistant down to -8°C and is perfect as ground cover in rock gardens, low walls or beds. It also flourishes in hanging baskets or pots, where its large fuchsia-pink flowers with white centres offer a luminous display from late spring to early autumn. Removing the spent flowers encourages continuous flowering, creating a colourful carpet all summer long.
