Its leaves are quite broad and of a beautiful, slightly greyish blue. As they grow, the leaves become longer and slightly curved. In summer, the brown spikes of flowers contrast nicely with the blue foliage.

The CAREX laxiculmis Bunny Blue® will find its place in mid-shade to shady beds, in undergrowth. At the foot of shrubs, its colourfulness brings light. Combined with other grasses, it will bring presence in winter when most other grasses have lost their foliage. It can also be placed in mineral soil at the edge of streams.
