Your bamboo's young plant's choice will depend on your intended purpose.

For a hedge, choose bamboo phyllostachys (invasive) or the fargesia one (non-invasive). Fargesia are easy to maintain's bamboos, perfect for visual-barrier hedges' project. On top of that, they are non-invasive and reach between 2 and 4m high.

For a planting bed ground cover's project, the bamboo pleioblastus is an excellent choice. Its green and golden or creamy white variegated foliage enable aesthetic compositions. Very rustic, it fits to every sort of soil, plantation in open ground, in vat, in pot as well as in window box.

You need a seaside bamboo ? The Fargesia angustissima is the ideal one. It measures 4 to 5m high with maturity, and has a thin and really decorative foliage. You can plant it throughout the year in planting bed, isolated, in vat and also in hedge.
