The BOUGAINVILLEA Violet de Mèze is a hardy variety that can be hardy down to -8°C, it is the most resistant. A graceful shrub, it is covered with a multitude of violet flowers throughout the summer. Its sermanteous branches are thorny. The complex flowering consists of bright purple coloured leaves with 3 white tubular flowers in the centre.  To be trained along a wall in the south, or on a trellis in a sunny position. Resistant to dry and cold weather, mulch the plant in winter to give it a little more resistance.

Podranea ricasoliana, also known as Purple Bignone, is a vigorous climber native to southern Africa. It is highly prized for its magnificent pink to mauve flowers, which adorn gardens throughout the summer and autumn. Ideal for pergolas and trellises, it adds an exotic, colourful touch.
