This coreopsis develops a low, rounded and strongly branched clump composed of narrow to lance-shaped green leaves. The stems carry large bicoloured flower heads whose golden-yellow ray florets surround a strongly contrasting red to burgundy eye. Flowering generally begins in late spring or early summer and continues into autumn. Solanna Sunset Bright® is distinguished by its ability to flower in its first year, its uniform habit and its capacity to produce new buds over an extended period. The selection also shows good tolerance to powdery mildew.

Its compact growth makes it suitable for the front of borders, edging, sunny rock gardens and low perennial planting schemes.
