Characteristics of CLEMATIS armandii Apple Blossom.

Clematis armandii Apple blossom is a beautifully fragrant cultivar with pretty pale white flowers kissed with pink. The delicious whitish-pink, almond-scented flowers appear in early spring on leaves that first appear bronze and then turn medium green. The flowers are pink when they are in bud, the petals themselves are white with yellowish-white stamens in the center. The flowers appear on the vine in early spring. It is a heavy bloomer, which bees love. A particularity of this climbing plant is that it is one of the rare clematis that stays green in winter. Its leaves are leathery, oblong green and very elegant.

How to use the CLEMATIS armandii Apple Blossom.

It is a climbing plant, which attaches itself with twisted leaf stems and can grow well against a fence, wall or pergola, but it needs a climbing wire or frame. You can help it from time to time by tying the new shoots neatly along the support or through the fence. To make the most of its fragrant flowers, plant it near a house entrance or well-traveled path, giving it plenty of room to grow.
