Native to South Africa, Eucomis Purple Reign® is a compact bulbous perennial distinguished by its intensely colored foliage and distinctive pineapple-shaped inflorescences. Cultivation guidelines for Eucomis Purple Reign®

Plant Eucomis Purple Reign® bulbs in well-drained, fertile soil enriched with organic matter, spacing them 20–25 cm apart. Choose a sunny location for optimal flowering and foliage color. Water regularly during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry slightly between irrigations. Apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in spring. After flowering, reduce watering as the foliage dies back. In colder regions, lift bulbs in autumn or protect them with mulch to prevent frost damage.
