Delosperma hybrida Sundella® Red forms a dense mat approximately 10 cm high and 30 cm wide. Its evergreen, bright green, cylindrical and fleshy leaves are typical of the genus. Its main varietal feature is its intense red flowering, which contrasts strongly with the foliage. The daisy-like flowers open widely in strong light and are produced over a long period, mainly from May to October. The plant performs best in warm, sunny positions. Its winter performance depends greatly on drainage, as waterlogged soil during cold periods can reduce its resistance to frost.
