DIANELLA caerulea Cool Vista ®

Dianella Coolvista ® is a variety with bluish-gray foliage, reminiscent of its sisters Little Rev® and casa Blue, it is distinguished by its larger size, its erect and rigid habit. It blooms in clusters of small blue flowers with yellow stamens in early summer, followed by very attractive bright blue fruits. Dianella are resistant to dryness and summer heat.

Characteristics of DIANELLA caerulea Cool Vista ®.


Native to Australia and Oceania, the Coolvista ® Dianella is a graphic plant with a grassy appearance and rigid, bluish-green evergreen foliage. The Dianella forms a tuft of dréssées leaves which can reach 60cm high for 40cm broad. From June to August, the plant develops floral stems exceeding the foliage and offering small pale blue flowers with yellow stamens. This pretty and frail bloom precedes a fruiting in the form of small violet-blue berries very sharp. The fruits remain several months on the plant making it very aesthetic throughout the year. The plant develops by small short rhizomes making the tuft grow each year.

How to use DIANELLA caerulea Cool Vista ®.


The Dianella Coolvista ® by their graphics will adapt to modern and geometric gardens, borders. It will be associated with grasses, Phormiums, Yucca ... for a dry garden decor, spirit DRY AND DESIGN GARDEN. Resistant to sea spray, it can be planted in exposed gardens on the coast. On a terrace or a balcony, it will offer graphics and exoticism in a solitary pot or in a mixture in a large tub.

Easy to maintain, Dianella Coolvista® requires a sunny exposure and a drained soil. Not very hardy, it is preferable to plant it in pots in regions with harsh winters. It has a very good resistance to drought and high temperatures.
