The cultivar Ipheon Whisley Blue, sometimes named "Spring star", is an herbaceous which adorns itself with splendid blue-purple star-shaped flowers during its long winter flowering for half the year. Very prolific, it tends to proliferate over time. This variety is also known for its pollution and salt spray resistance, allowing it to survive in harsh environment.
